I haven't included music for Nocturnes, as it's largely just the Canon which will be familiar to all of you. The majority of the complicated stuff happens when we switch into Matins, beginning with the procession around the church. Of note, I will post Paschal Troparia in another section as there are so many of them.
Practice List (apologies, I couldnt' find videos for all of these)
Thy Resurrection... we sing this as we process; it's easiest to memorize it so you aren't trying to read and hold a candle and walk in the dark!
The Paschal Beginning - this is sung outside on the steps of the church. Note that the pages are reversed because it's meant to be a folded handout to carry with you outside.
The Paschal Canon - there is a ton to cover here, but it's very fast paced so focus on at least learning the "Christ is Risen" sung three times (at the bottom of page 3 in the pdf).
The Paschal Stichera (Let God Arise) - we sing this regularly in our parish during Paschaltide so it's good to memorize!
Grace Shining Forth - this is sung after the Paschal Homily by St John Chrysostom.
As Many As Have Been Baptised - sung in place of the Trisagion during Liturgy, note that it's a different version than our usual.
Paschal Prokeimenon - we will sing the Archangelsky version
The Angel Cried - a perennial favourite, we sing this during all of Paschaltide in place of the Hymn to the Theotokos.
Bonus song: The Great Prokeimenon - this is actually sung at Paschal Vespers! Be warned, it goes REALLY high so I will pitch it down a third, but if you struggle with high notes feel free to sit that one out. Note also that the video uses a slightly different translation.
